Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences signed a memorandum of understanding on expanding scientific cooperation with the Pakistan Chemical Research Center

A memorandum of understanding to expand scientific collaboration between Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and the H.E.J. Research Center in Pakistan has been signed. The collaboration agreement aims to enhance scientific and research communications between Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and the H.E.J. Research Center.

According to Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Alireza Zali stated this morning during a meeting with Professor Iqbal Choudhry, the head of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences and a Mustafa Prize laureate, that expanding scientific and research collaboration with the H.E.J. Research Center represents a new avenue for interdisciplinary studies aimed at improving the quality of life for people.

In this meeting, he referred to the missions of medical universities across the country, stating that faculty members and academic staff are working to define research projects that address existing issues and challenges in society and the healthcare system. Fortunately, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences has always been at the forefront of this path and strives to identify the needs of the general public.

Professor Iqbal Choudhry expressed his satisfaction with the expansion of collaboration with Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in the fields of research and technology, stating that this university is one of the best scientific and educational centers in Iran, and research projects conducted at its centers are of high quality. He added that Iran's model of progress in technology, innovation, and knowledge enhancement serves as a suitable example for Pakistan and other Islamic countries.

Professor Choudhry also expressed hope for convergence, consensus, and the development of collaboration with scientists in the Islamic world, considering the signing of the collaboration agreement between the H.E.J. Research Center and Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences as a foundation for expanding studies and maximizing knowledge capacity to reduce challenges in the healthcare system.

On the sidelines of the signing of the scientific collaboration agreement between the two countries, the Center for Development and Commercialization of Natural Products was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Iqbal Choudhry, and the first soft gelatin capsule produced at the Phytochemistry Research Center of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences was also unveiled.

Additionally, there was a visit to the university's central biobank, the angiogenesis laboratory, the rotary evaporator, and the chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) assay device.
